Mark Sanford, Governor, Republican

Two hours with Gov. Mark Sanford covered more than I00sanford can summarize here. The most interesting thing was his emerging advocacy of state funding for education (see editorial above). That came at the very end of the interview, and an aide dragged him away before he could get much into it. More on that later.

Vouchers for all students in all schools. Abolishment of the NEA. Abolishment of all school districts. Each school exists as a completely independent entity. (Think of the money not wasted on administrators).

Rassmussen polling has Sanford well ahead of people named Moore or Willis. The people in this state really like this governor and understand it is the legislature that is the constraint on progress.

The people understand that most of the establishment media is also a problem, an ally of our corrupt legislature.

After four years of trashing public schools, ignoring the corridor of shame, and pushing private school vouchers, Sanford MIGHT be coming around to support education…the week before the election? But he was too busy to give details?!
Please tell me you’re not that gullible.
