Lunch with the governor

Govlunch

Now that the State of the State is over, here’s some background material from Gov. Mark Sanford’s pre-speech briefing today with editorial page editors and writers from across the state. The briefing was over lunch at the Governor’s Mansion. Grilled chicken salad was served. I didn’t eat anything. Allergies.

Anyway, here’s what we had to say about the speech.

Brad, you must have it bad with those allergies. My first wife was allergic to yeast. That pretty much eliminated any bread items. Man was it tough going out to restaraunts. It was like the inquisition every time she ordered.

Sanford is probably so divorced from reality that he truly believes this. Having a top government official so divorced from reality… scary.
