You’ve heard the news that white people will no longer be a majority by 2042, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
But when I read this part:

I thought, Hey, wait a minute? Hispanics aren’t white? You mean, none of them are, not even those of Spanish extraction? Wasn’t there a time, not long ago, when Hispanics were considered white — or at least, some of them? Isn’t there a term that was used until fairly recently, something like "nonwhite Hispanics," suggesting that there were (as there are) white Hispanics?
I smell a conspiracy here, and it’s not about more and more whites seeing Hispanic as "aliens" — illegal or otherwise.
I think white people have cracked under peer pressure. They want to be a minority, because being a minority is, let’s face it, way cooler than being white. Come on, white people — if you’re honest you’ll admit this is true.
Growing up as a WASP, I always felt that I was missing out. So I did something about it — I became a Catholic, and starting talking more about my Celtic ancestors than my Anglo-Saxon ones. This made me a minority, and I’ve got to tell you, it made me feel a lot cooler. I started crossing myself whenever I thought white protestants might be looking at me, just so they’d know how much cooler I was than they — you know, like those Latin ballplayers in the Major Leagues when they come up to bat, and mafiosi at mob funerals. They’re cool, and so am I.
Anyway, after all the work I’ve gone to, I’m not going to sit still and watch while all white people suddenly rig the numbers and get declared a minority, without doing anything to earn it. I’ll bet they keep on eating white bread sandwiches and playing badminton and listening to Mantovani and stuff; just watch them. They will NEVER be cool, and I don’t think they should be able to cheat like this by throwing out the white Latinos.
Something must be done about this. Take away their birth control pills or something; I don’t know.

Most immigrants from south of the Rio Grande are not Hispanics. Hispanics in North America are those who immigrated from Hispanola, which is today the Dominican Republic. Anyone of Spanish descent is Hispanic. Portugese distinguish themselves as being Lusitanic, as those in Brazil or Moriches Inlet, Long Island, NY, will tell you.
Most immigrants from across the Mexican border, or water, are mixed race, “mestizos”, mostly of Aztec, Mayan, or some other indigenous natives, and some Spanish or Portugese, maybe some African from former slaves in Brazil or Cuba. Many of the illegal immigrants of full-blooded natives of the surviving Indian tribes.
Mislabeling these “Latinos” as “Hispanic” is an deliberate attempt to elevate their status in the minds of Americans by identifying them with the small upper class of of Mexico and Central America. It was made law in 1970 due to the efforts of former Senator Montoya.
There’s a good chance, Mr. Warthen, that crossing yourself didn’t denote you as cool to white protestants.
Pray tell, what were they protesting when they earned that description.
Besides, if “all white people” rig the numbers, that would include you, wouldn’t it?

There is no way that one can get involved in the discussion of this topic without openly admitting to some sort of prejudice against the Spanish/Mexican/Latin American/etc race of people.
When we open our borders to all nationalities we must expect mixing with the immigrants.
When we single out Catholics as the spiritual demonination of those coming into the country to eventually mix and mingle and extenguish the white race we need to think hard and long about exactly the future of the white race.
The invasion of this country and the take over by the latino race should be well thought out and decided if we want to see the invasion of our country and eventual take over of the United States Of America by the South of the US border illegals. How many years will it take to educate them and take them off of drugs and make them law abiding citizens?

As a National Board certified high-school teacher of Spanish of Latino extraction myself (French, Spanish–and Catholic), I can tell you that an Hispanic is anyone of a Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking background who chooses to identify with Latin culture arising from the Iberian peninsula. The racial explanation provided above by Lee Muller is patent nonsense–like most of his views posted on this blog.
Mr. Miller is somewhat correct. Mestizos (sometimes called Latinos) are a racial admixture of Spanish/Indian (Caucasian/Mongolid) blood. Like Negroes, Mulattos, and Quadroons, they are unassimilable with the Caucasian race.

School curriculum used to be aimed to lift up the immigrants to the standards of Wester Civilization. That was back when immigrants were legal, and immigration was controlled by the USA, not by Latino drug and prostitution gangs.
