See you at the Walk for Life (I hope)

We don’t have a formal team or anything (yet), but my wife and I will be at the Palmetto Health Foundation’s First Ladies’ Walk For Life at 9 a.m. Saturday morning — just over 12 hours from now.

Please come join us. I can’t think of a better cause, and it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. As some of you know, my wife is a cancer survivor, and we’ve been blessed with eight wonderful years, so we look forward to this event as a chance to help others overcome this horrific disease.

And maybe it’s not to late to pull together an impromptu blog team. If you’re on Twitter, send me a Tweet when you get there to let me know where you are and we’ll see if we can march together.

See you there, I hope…

Maybe you should invite your #1 fan… her Highness, First Lady Jenny (47 going on 65) Sanford to break away from her memoirs to attend her own event.

I’m curious — are BillC, Doug-Ross and “Lee Muller” typical South Carolinians?

  3. Randy E

Burl, Doug’s a straight shooting anarchist (libertarian) and doesn’t fit into the same category with the other two. MOST of the time he offers solid justification for his positions – even though he’s often wrong. (I’m goading him now.)

Lee is atypical for any group. BillC is an angry man with a vendetta against Brad.

Of the three, I think Doug represents SC most closely. He’s also a Red Sox fan, which is high praise.

Burl, does your question mean you don’t just skip over any post of BillC’s or “Lee Muller’s”?
    Or, are they morbidly fascinating?

Just seems to be a lot of repressed anger that Brad’s blog allows out of the genie lamp. I find all three to be amusingly consistent in their dogma.
If Doug’s a Soxer, he’s OK with me! But then I’m a NL StL Cards kind of guy. I tried to convince the wife that a good name for our first-born would be Orlando Cepeda Burlingame, but she didn’t fall for it.
There are a lot of libertarians in the news business, BTW. Probably has to do with being fed up with all politicians.

Did little homo RandyE say something, my gadar just went off last night about 9:30 and I ignored it. Now I see he was posting here and mentioned me. The only parade he’s interested in is one where there are rainbows and men walking around in leather.

Actually, I’m just showing Brad what it’s like to be on the other end of his relentless hatred of someone. Brad hopes for only the worst toward Sanford, sometimes karma can be a bitch. But I find it somewhat humorous in this case. Sanford may end up out of a job on the street, but so may Brad. It’s just that Sanford won’t be heading to Finley Park after breakfast at the Capitol City Club.

    Your Gaydar, indeed…

I’ve been wondering about your crush on Brad….

Brad–Would’ve been on your team if you had organized it sooner. Off to see my ‘rents in Aiken instead.
Best to you and the Mrs.

Kathryn’s right; I’ve gotta get organized.

How about this: How about if we start NOW organizing a Blog Team to march together in the Walk nest year? I’ll go ahead and get started on some cool T-shirts…

Happy birthday!!! Facebook is messed up for me right now, so here it is!

I’m in, if you promise no one will hurt me. I’m just a lily-livered liberal.
