Turns out this was also a great day to go to Five Points, which was no more crowded than the zoo. That’s not great news for the Five Points merchants, but it was pleasant.
We had no trouble getting a big table for lunch — for my parents, my daughter and her three, my brother and his family — at Yesterday’s.
I liked the effect of the light on the table. Unfortunately, my Blackberry didn’t quite capture it the way I was seeing it.
Perhaps if you aspire to art photography, you may consider an upgrade?
Well, I have a better camera — the one you see me holding on Obama in the header photo on individual posts — but it’s not functioning.
Actually, I have a MUCH better camera than either of those — my old Nikon 8008s. But it’s 35 mm, and digital is SO much more convenient. Besides, with the Blackberry I always have my camera handy. And sometimes, given enough light and bright enough colors, it does a pretty good job. Such as the flamingo picture. Or my sunset at the Fair picture.
It’s no longer a better camera, then, is it? (the Obama camera)
Yeah, I hear you on the handiness, and yes, those were great photos. The best camera is one you have one you when you need it….
