Very quickly, here’s what we have at this hour:

  1. ESC Officially Restructured — That’s the Employment Security Commission. Or it was. In the future, it will be an agency headed by someone appointed by the governor.
  2. Filing Closes for June 8th SC Primaries — Now we know who’s in and who’s out among Democrats and Republicans. (The UnParty ticket is still to come.)
  3. Spratt Has Parkinson’s, Will Still Run — The 5th District congressman, 67, released the two facts at the same time.
  4. Putin to Security Services: Get the Bombing Masterminds — If I were a member of that terrorist group, I’d sort of feel my blood chilling a little bit at that.
  5. Militia Probe Included Undercover FBI Agent — More on that bunch of losers (see photos below) who wanted to kill a bunch of cops, as initially reported on yesterday’s front page.
  6. Should The Pope Step Down? — Yes, these burgeoning failures of accountability have gotten to the point people are asking that.

I would love to hear your take on the pedophilia allegations and accountability issues in the Vatican, Brad.

Yes, Brad–what do you make of all this, including the Pope’s assertion of diplomatic immunity?

If the standard is one of obedience to the Pope, on down through the hierarchy, shouldn’t the buck stop with the Pope?

The Catholic church makes the mafia organizations look like Boy Scouts. There probably isn’t a more corrupt organization in the history of the world.
