It’s not always all about me, as things turn out…

We had a little early Thanksgiving dinner/birthday celebration today at ADCO, and as we were eating I kept hearing some of my coworkers saying:

Brad paisley… Brad, paisley… Brad… paisley

Which made me a little self-conscious, I’ve gotta tell you.

But you know what? This is going to be a real shock to you, I’m sure, but they weren’t talking about the tie I chose to wear today. Go figure.

The last bowtie that I wore was sometime back in grammar school and that was one of the clip-on bowties.

Ties block the flow of oxygen to the brain. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.

I don’t even like wearing ties. I don’t know what the knot is that I use, but when I get out to the parking lot, it is a two-handed pull and I can breathe again.

But I have found a few ties that I like. I have a few ties that are based on the Grateful Dead’s leader, Jerry Garcia, art work. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on those ties. (I found another source for technological ties based on Apollo and Soyuz command consoles that I hope I get for Christmas.)

@Ralph– You could try not tying it so tightly? A larger shirt collar, maybe?

    @ Greg– ha ha, but….
The world is a mirror of you. (I don’t recall who said this). In other words, we do create our own reality–if you are in a bad mood, you notice everything that reinforces that mood, while is you are in a good mood, those things blow past you and you see the butterflies and rainbows.
