When master comes marching home again, hurrah, hurrah…

It’s a bit late, but here is something I wish I’d had yesterday for marking Veterans Day. Kathryn Fenner alerted me to these clips of dogs greeting returning troops.

Whether you’re a dog-lover or not, it’s heart-warming. And I don’t give you much heart-warming stuff here, so enjoy it while you can…

I challenge you not to get choked up. As a serious dog lover, I have often thought the worst thing about being institutionalized–be it in prison or health care facility, would be not seeing my dogs. People can visit, or in the case of the modern military,Skype, but dogs don’t understand.

Thanks to all those who serve and have to leave their pets, and thanks to their dogs for keeping the home fires burning.

I’ll have to watch these when I get home. I was watching some YouTube videos of Beagle puppies and our 2 year olds were wondering where the puppies were.

…need to give my eyes a rest from the computer screens or I guess stop being such a political junkie…just read about Haley’s transition team and then read your headline here and thought I was reading “when McMaster comes marching home again, hurrah, hurrah…”

This is much nicer! Dogs rule.
