Yes, that’s Burl on the left, in full Hunter Thompson mode back in the day. I don’t know the lady.

Note the concentration, the devotion to duty — taking notes even when he can’t see the notebook. That’s what I call a work ethic.

I wish I could remember her name. She was very sharp and very funny, and sort of bemused by the whole beer babe gig.

You know, this really makes MY souvenir work picture from about the same time, of me shaking hands with Howard Baker, look pretty lame. Note that he and I were both bearded at the time.
