‘Breaking Bad’ alternative ending (look quickly)

Yesterday, I reTweeted Salon’s link to the “‘Official’ Breaking Bad alternate ending,” which is said to have been made for the DVD box set, which is to be released Nov. 26.

But I didn’t have time to view the video clip right then. By the time I tried this morning, I got a message saying Sony Pictures Television had had it taken down.

No worries, thought I. I had paid for the entire last season, via iTunes, which was supposed to include all supplementary clips, so I figured it wouldn’t be closed to me. But then I saw there was no such clip awaiting me at iTunes.

But then, this morning, my favorite chap-hop artist, Professor Elemental, tweeted out a link that worked.

It says at the end, “provided courtesy of Sony,” so for the moment, I guess it’s OK.

Enjoy it, while it lasts — before the content powers-that-be change their minds. (And doesn’t it seem far more logical that they would want the video out there, to create buzz for the DVD set?) For “Breaking Bad” fans, it’s fun.

And just to remind you how the show really ended, here’s some mood music from Badfinger…

OK, this is the first of five posts today (so far), and not one comment on any of them! Y’all keep on commenting on stuff from yesterday and earlier. Which doesn’t give me the immediate gratification I need in order to do this.

I mean, come on! Talking about “Breaking Bad” is way more fun that all that policy stuff. Isn’t it? Don’t y’all like to have fun?

    Sheesh.

Well, you missed it. They took that one down, too.

This really kinda ticks me off. It’s a silly promotional video for a project I paid for already. I certainly ought to be able to view it. I suppose posting it on the blog is another matter, but at least I should be able to see it. And I can’t.

OK, technically, I didn’t buy the precise product they are selling — the DVD box set. But I paid for this whole season on iTunes, and I have access to the rest of the seasons via Netflix, which I also pay for.

So it just seems ridiculous to me that they wouldn’t let me see this one silly thing.

But hey, I infinitely prefer the ways one can get access to AMC content. It’s usually pretty reasonable.

You know what really bugs me? That in 2013, there is NO way for me to watch “Homeland” without subscribing to cable, and paying additionally for the level that gives me Showtime.

I don’t want to see anything on Showtime except “Homeland.” I don’t want to see anything on those other channels that I have to pay for before I get to Showtime.

There should be a way that I can just pay to see “Homeland,” and that alone. As there is with all the good AMC shows. But there isn’t. I’m stuck with a 1970s model in which I’m expected to pay for everything cable offers to get this one show. Ridiculous.

OK, nobody but Bill was interested in this (thanks, Bill).

But I just want to say, “Baby Blue” was a great song. Badfinger was a pretty awesome-sounding band.
