Every so often God places upon the Earth an individual with the power to change humanity’s destiny for the better. One of those very special people was Nelson Mandela. His compassion, grace, and mercy created ripples across every corner of the globe. His fight for equality and justice for all mankind helped to further ingrain on our souls the truth that we are all born with the right to be free. Nelson Mandela set an example that we would be wise to follow for all time, and tonight the world is collectively mourning this loss.

What many of these people probably don’t know is that many of the early “freedom fighters” in Israel who later became leaders in that new nation were once considered terrorists in many parts of the world. I’m sure in the 1770s many of our own founding fathers would have been regarded as terrorists. There is a fine line between terrorist and patriot. Mandela may have resorted to violent tactics at one point in his life but at the end of the day his cause was just and necessary. Even Ted Cruz and Jeff Duncan recognize that.
This is Exhibit #102,221 in the case for why the GOP will be unable to broaden its base by 2016.
