That’s OK, Biden would have just tied me up even longer

Kenny Bingham wanted me to call. I figured it was about this blog item. I was really late writing a column about Joe Biden’s speech at Galivants Ferry earlier in the week, but I figured I’d call. He talked for a while, but it was OK. I needed to know that stuff. I’m getting back to work now.

The essence of what he had to say is now attached as a comment. Please read it, especially if you read the original item.

Incidentally, Joe Biden called while I was on the phone with Kenny.

But that’s OK. I’m not mad at Kenny or anything. Really. He’s supposed to call me back tomorrow.

Of course, I need to finish the column now. That’s cool, though: It’s easier to write with less material to work from.

Oh, was I using italics again just then? Sorry.

b Abu Ghrab Redux: Biden jokes about torturing Moussaoui in prison
Hardball now with Chris Matthews. Matthews says, “What do you make of Moussaoui’s comment as he left the courtroom? He yelled out, ‘America , you lost,’ and clapped his hands?”
BIDEN: I don’t want to be that sucker in prison. I don’t want to be that guy in an American prison. If you want to say how to punish somebody, put Zarqawi [sic] in a prison with a bunch of red-blooded American criminals. Criminals. Put him in there for live — and guarantee under no circumstances, no circumstances, could he get out of prison. I think that boy is about to have, as we Catholics say, an epiphany. I think he’s about to find out (laughing) that he may not have gotten the better end of the deal.
MATTHEWS: Do you think he’ll survive for long in prison, senator?
BIDEN: I think it’s not going to be an easy road for him.

I agree with Biden, although as he runs for office officially, he will try to separate from his words here. Moussaiui is heading to a real living hell. I read where he will be in an isolated cell for 23 hours a day, with one hour to get out to exercise. No contact at all with other prisoners. The bonus he gets is that every piece of food this subhuman devil gets served will be flavored with human urine, feces, or saliva. Enjoy it, Moussaui…. It will cost us taxpayers $36k a year to house his permanent vacation. But torture, no, and guess what, we won’t listen in on his phone calls, perhaps the worst offense an American can do to a terrorist.

I find it despicable that liberals will oppose capital punishment on some pretext of humane sensibilities, then laugh about a prison system where punishment can be controlled by whom the other inmates are.

I have NO sympathy for Moussaiui. I support Biden and those who “remember.” Remember we said, “Never Forget.”
When I start feeling bad about Moussauiui’s punishment I look at my video of 9/11.
One of the good things about Joe Biden is that he’s direct, open, and he’s tough on crime in general and has little sympathy for criminals. You know where he stands.

judraySC – The liberals in America would like to expunge any memory of 9-11 from Americans. Seeing it again makes us too angry and that is not nice. They only want us to feel bad about terrorists who had to put on women’s lingerie or if we happen to listen in on a terrorists phone call to the US, now that is an impeachable offense.

Dave, the memory of 9-11 makes this liberal plenty angry. Mostly against the terrorists, the taliban and others directly responsible. But I have plenty of anger left over for the idiot president of ours who continued to read “My Pet Duck” to school children for 5+ minutes after he was notified the SECOND plane had hit the WTC. I’m also angry that he ignored a presidential daily briefing warning of the attacks but instead went on vacation. And to top it off he’s failed to capture the perpetrator of 9-11 (bin Laden). If you want to talk about anger over 9-11 we liberals are plenty angry. What we need is a leader who will actually protect us, not vacation or read school books when the nation needs him most.

How angry are you that Clinton refused to accept the arrest and extradition of Bin Laden, and refused to permit our Air Force to kill him when an armed drone aircraft was circling his staff meeting?
