There is a war of words going on on this blog between the Nazis who plan to march in our capital on Saturday — or to be precise, the leader of a splinter group of said organization — and the Sons of Confederate Veterans, who are embarrassed by what they have in common.
The Civil War was brother-against-brother. In this one, both sides will be waving the Rebel Flag.

Check this: Despite an ominous build-up in advance, Bill White had some of his own big marching plans fall apart last weekend in Cincinnati, leading to some hoots of derision in that town.
The “hoots of derision” link is one of the funniest things I’ve read since the glory days of The National Lampoon.

One oddball at a small altenative weekly is not “hoots of derision”, particularly given all the money and supporters we gained in Cincinnati without actually yet having to have held a rally.
Plus, in the past week, we held successful demonstrations against Christian Zionism in Tulsa and George Bush in Tipp City, Ohio. As to Cincinnati — just give it time.
Only the small democratic mind, “blown hither and thither by every gust of convenience opinion, elated by a little success, downcast by a little failure, gossiping and chattering about the prospects of the next five minutes, jostling for place, but not so forward in service, Without loyalty, endurance, or staying power” thinks that a few days difference in the timing of a rally has much meaning.

Bill White is an outcast among outcast in the white supremacist community. He was thrown out of the NSM for his unstable behavior.
Bill White is so jealous that the NSM will have over 200 people this weekend while the most he can muster is 2 or 3 people. While he claims credit for rallies this week, White hid behind his keyboard. It should be noted that neither of his “rallies” got any hardly attention.
If you go to billwhitewatch.blogspot.com, you’ll find out that White is merely a bisexual Jew playing dress up as a nazi. His mother is jewish and his Dad changed his named from Weiss to White, as did a lot of Jews.
White was a radical homosexual anarchist in the 1990’s. When that didn’t give him attention, he changed into a nazi.
His rally in Cincinnati fell apart because no one but himself was going to show up and White, fearing for his own safety, prefers to hide behind a computer while expecting his own “members” to do the work he is so afraid to do.
White is nothing but a troll who has to pretend stories to get himself attention.
Bill White is the one responsible for two of his own “party” members being arrested in Ohio this week. Bill White notified the secret service in advance of his “two man” rally, and as soon as his members showed up, they got arrested.
Nice going Bill.
The real rally will be tomorrow at Columbia SC where 200 comrades will unify.

Well, it is because reasonable and thinking people NEVER think or speak of the flag. Neither blacks nor whites care…it is only for the chattering classes to use as an elevator to the top of the moral superiority pile…
So one day, a governor of courage will walk out there one morning early, and take it down. And no one but a few fools will notice or care.

You’re also about 12 years behind the curve. Before 1995, a “governor of courage” COULD have taken it down — which is exactly what we kept urging them to do.
But they wouldn’t.
And in 1995, the Legislature acted specifically to prevent that. They put it into law that the flag must fly. And now, only the Legislature can bring it down.
Hence all the “chattering” at the Legislature, which can put an end to this “wedge issue” any time it chooses. It just doesn’t choose to.
Now I realize this isn’t going to occur to you, chris — because I’ve been listening to the “chattering” of people like you for over 30 years in this business, and I know that epiphanies come hard to you — but in the future, you might, just MIGHT, want to think twice before coming on all scornful and ascribing absurd motives to people who know a whole lot more about the subject than you do.

Columbia, SC 21 April 2004: The South Carolina League of the South is 100% against Race Hatred of every kind. In keeping with this policy, the South Carolina League of the South is staging a symbolic counter-protest against the Nazi Race-Hatred March today, Saturday, April 21, 2007. Our protest began at 11:30 AM at the corner of Gervais St. and Main St. where we are expressing our contempt for National Socialism.
We are demonstrating against an ugly, alien and thoroughly discredited notion that attempts to use Race, Religion and Ethnicity as bogus wedges to weaken South Carolina. The good citizens of South Carolina have everything to gain through mutual love and respect and yet everything to loose should the race haters gain influence and power.
Race hatred must not, and will not, thrive in our State because we repudiate it. We strike the single blow that hatred can not withstand. Through love for our brother and sister South Carolinians we turn our backs on the messengers of hate and we repudiate their message.
Neither outside critics nor professional agitators have the power to turn South Carolinians against themselves. We oppose all Race Hatred, both the Nazi variety and the NAACP variety. We will not allow either of these vicious attacks on South Carolina’s citizens to go unopposed. We, the South Carolina League of the South, defend our proud and noble heritage. We attempt to live up to the high standards of duty and courage set by our noble ancestors. We will never abdicate our right as South Carolinians to unite in common self defense.

Brad becomes angry when one ascribes to Brad what one believes to be Brad’s true motives. The flag certainly is a wedge issue-and the vicious debate facilitated by The State newspaper in the nineties pretty much did in the Democratic Party to the point where Democrats could no longer win statewide elections. I’m not saying this as a conservative because in fact I am a social democrat, and I generally vote for democratic candidates. Some type of compromise had to be made, and rightly or wrongly, the legislature took the initiative and made a decision. I imagine that if the legislature had removed the flag entirely, then the Democratic Party would have ceased to be a viable party altogether. To me, a better solution would have been to have placed the flag by Wade Hampton’s statue, and to put the Christopher Gadsden “Don’t Tread on Me” flag atop the Statehouse. Also, there are a dearth of monuments to black statesmen and religious leaders, so I believe that we should incorporate monuments of black leaders to more accurately reflect the many contributions of the black population to South Carolina, and to Southern culture in general. The only way to solve this problem in my view is not to remove people’s symbols, but to add new symbols for those who have been traditionally left out.
Additionally, there are no monuments to SC workers and to our struggle to create a fair, prosperous society. If I had my way, there would be a giant monument honoring the striking workers of Honea Path whose murders were sanctioned by a corrupt aristocracy that this day controls major institutions such as the Chamber of Commerce, The State newspaper, and the university system. That’s just my opinion. Not everyone will necessarily feel the same way that I do.
And finally, Chris, we may disagree on certain things, and we may agree on others, but your arguments that are worth hearing regardless of what I or anyone else thinks. Amazingly, you are being criticized by one who thinks that he is omniscient, but who in reality is benighted and totally out of touch with what most people are thinking; one who literally can’t handle the truth.
My previous sentence should read as follows: “…but your arguments are worth hearing regardless of what I or anyone else thinks.”

Steve goes too far but there are some striking similarities between Brad and Joseph Goebbels. Both favored stringent control of tobacco products. Both supported an invasion and continued occupation of harmless countries. Both are ok with restricting free speech. Both support government surveillance of individuals. Neither participated in the military because of physical handicaps. Both are ashamed of their lack of military participation. Both ardently support the military and an increase in the size of the army. Both support a lost cause war.
Don’t get me wrong Brad, I’m not accusing you of being a Nazi, but don’t you think your support for our continued involvement in Iraq and support of a draft has something to do with your personal disappointment in not serving in the military?

But what I just simply cannot understand is how utterly rigid he is in supporting a war that has obviously failed. I didn’t know that he had a physical problem that precluded military service, but nothing I’ve ever read that was written by him indicated to me that this was the reason that he either liked the military or supported the war. On many occassions Brad has discussed why he was unable to enlist in the military. It has something to do with his extreme allergy condition. He suggested that he had a life long dream to be a part of the military to follow in his father’s footsteps. Brad correct me if I’m wrong about this.

As one might guess, the play (“The Producers”) is pretty silly, especially given that the actors for “Springtime for Hitler” come from the ranks of flamboyant gay people.
