Sorry about not having one of these yesterday. I had meetings all afternoon, then had to rush off to see the Tart. But here’s today’s:

  1. Nations Pledge to Lock Down Nuclear Fuel — An overarching story with several important subplots.
  2. Morrison Endorses No One — Sometimes humility is unbecoming, and I’m afraid that’s the case in this instance. Almost a third of those who voted last Tuesday looked to Steve Morrison for leadership in this city, and he just declined a unique opportunity to lead them toward a clear conclusion in this hard-fought race.
  3. Kyrgyz President Bakiyev ‘will resign if safe’ — He seems to have decided he’d like to get out of this one with his life.
  4. Carpool lanes found unfeasible — You know those handy-dandy HOV lanes that help you zip through Charlotte or Atlanta when you’re taking the fam on vacation? Don’t look for those around here.
  5. Consumer Reports Calls Lexus GX 460 Unsafe — More trouble for Toyota. Don’t know about you, but I’d still rather drive a Camry than just about anything.
  6. 24 arrested in anti-prostitution operation — Columbia police roundup.
