Maybe this guy should do some McCain trading cards

ack on this thread weldon VII observed,

That’s a really nice picture of McCain. Who took it?

The answer to your question is, an AP photog named Charles Dharapak. Here’s the caption that moved with the photo:

Republican presidential hopeful Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., smiles while speaking to reporters outside a polling station in St. Petersburg, Fla., Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, on the morning of Florida’s Republican Presidential Primary. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)

Either that Dharapak guy is a great photographer and McCain should hire him, or the candidate himself is more photogenic now that he’s well on his way to the nomination. In any case, as evidence for both of these theories, I offer two more Dharapak images. Above, we have the "strong commander in chief" McCain. Below, we have "happy to win in Florida" McCain.

Maybe this guy should publish a serious of McCain bubble-gum trading cards. If he does, I get a cut for thinking of it — don’t I?

That’s borderline, JJ. Anyway, weldon is the one who said McCain was looking good. And he was right — I had trouble finding a decent picture of him to go with our endorsement. Of course, I’m picky on endorsement photos. With Obama, we actually went with a frame capture from video — it was better than the still photos we had.

Anyway, the thing that struck me about what weldon said is that all of a sudden McCain is looking, I don’t know, younger or healthier or something. I guess winning is good for him.

If we do the cards, though, I want it to have decent bubblegum — none of that dried, brittle stuff.

Each one of the senators I name swore an oath of alligiance to the Constitution. To knowingly and willfully turn their backs on an invading horde from south of the border. Then to suggest that there was nothing they could do about it and since they (criminals) are large in number they should recieve amnesty is treason.
As for the meetings attended by McCain and Clinton I can dig out the date, place and time if you like.
I think you blind devotion to McCain has clouded your judgement and destroyed your objectivity.

I find it amusing that those in the press would cry foul if they were denied their first amendment rights would so easily and callously deny others their rights. No wonder you are losing business.

You have your rights. Go start your own blog and say what you like. This one’s mine.
How can someone who rants hyperbolically about “the invading horde from south of the border” and calls those who disagree with him on the issue “traitors” say I’ve lost MY objectivity?
Get a sense of perspective, dude.

The bottom picture here is quite a nice one, presents McCain well. A view from below with perspective and without a look up the nose. He appears the captain of his campaign and of the moment.

There are 30,000,000 illegal aliens in the USA from Mexico. If that doesn’t qualify as a “horde”, how many would it take?
Hillary, Obama, and McCain all propose amnesty and FASTER citizenship for these illegal aliens. Hillary and Obama promise them free medical care, and free college education. Did it ever occur to any “journalists” to ask why the criminal illegals should receive preferential treatment to legal immigrants and our own natural-born citizens?

What McCain and Brad cannot seem to grasp is one simple fact that over 70% of Americans can see. What is the point of sending our military all over the world to hunt down terrorists and then leaving our borders wide open where they can just walk across. Also, the last time we had amnesty the illegals saw that we were not serious which is why we have the problems with immigration that McCain and Brad would like us to forget about.

I love Brad but he needs to be more professional. Everytime he loses an argument to me he resorts to name calling ( Bubba, Dude, Move on dot org or something silly) or tries to block or remove my posts.
This doesn’t bother me at all it just makes him look like a sore loser. Think before you act Brad.

This email includes a YouTube link to a video from a Canadian entrepreneur who is a supporter and backer of Barack Obama. His support is so strong that he has created a trading card to honor the presidential candidate and raise funds for his campaign. The card has been reported on in Canada through its biggest news station CBC and Americans have already began snatching them up. Nothing like this has been done before for a candidate and Obama’s influence goes far beyond America’s borders. The world is watching by the edge of it’s seat.
