I like the look. Expect to catch some grief about the picture of Obama and you. Does that just show up on comment pages, or is it a random thing, or what? (I like it–it tells a story. Are you holding your camera that way because you’re using it to catch video?)
It all looks very nice. But I keep looking at that picture of Mark Sanford on the homepage and getting the feeling that I should be waiting for him to say something.
Perhaps you could photoshop in a thought or word bubble… possibly with hilarious results. Yes, that’s the ticket.
Now, maybe I’m dense, but I’ve never understood the phrase “Your’re either on the blog or you’re off the blog.”
Besides, that was with The State.
Maybe something like, “Give us this day our daily thread.”
Or
“We’re not in Mayberry any more, Toto.”
That’s a Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters reference.
My alternative is one that I came up with for a fictional newspaper (“The Status Quo”) in a comic strip that Robert Ariail conceived, but never followed through on, back in the 90s: “All the News that Gives You Fits.”
Wow. I had connected it to Either you are with us, or you are against us. It makes more sense, now. Someone’s going to give you fits about it now, I suspect.
BTW, the “new look” asked me to reset my password. I don’t know if that’s a theme thing or I had just becaome due. If that’s happening, your incoming comments might be slowed down for a little while.
I like it.
Only suggestion – I would change the font on the top BRADWARTHEN.COM to be two or three times larger and more visually interesting.
I suspect Brad is using a WordPress “theme” package and you have to dig pretty deep in the HTML to alter stuff. Like the banner pictures!

Yep. And just to make it more interesting — here is the video I was shooting…
Very sharp!…sweater vest needs to go…and thank god that fish eye photo you used for the past year is gone 🙂

Yeah, that fisheye photo made ya look vaguely uneasy and shifty. Make more cheerful!

Do y’all like that better?

The Kesey referance went right over my head!
I do like “All the New That Gives You Fits”
