Be sure to watch it full-screen. My regret is that it’s not in HD…
I gave it two minutes and gave up… this would be better suited for watching if you had insomnia.
See, now that disappoints me. I had expected Doug to watch it and then say, “What are all these Mexicans doing coming here and taking our jobs, when they have such a beautiful and idyllic country of their own?”
@Brad
Unlike you, I didn’t know they were Mexicans. Was it the skin color that tipped you off?
Ummm… I’m referring to the scenery, not the people — the locations are shown on-screen…
Me, I’m wondering why this was made. Works well as a tourist come-on. But there was no credit. Of course, South Carolina could make something similar, if there was anything to actually look at in South Carolina (duck!)
There is no indication that the locations are in Mexico. There are Spanish words displayed. Apparently all Spanish sounding locations are in Mexico.
I know you like to have fun with branding people who expect laws to be enforced as racists. I guess that’s one form of harassment you can get away with.
Your kind of reaching there, Doug. Just because you don’t know Chiapas is in Mexico doesn’t make Brad a racist, I don’t think.
Nice try, though!
Yeah, it’s pretty clearly labeled…
… I mean, if the places named were in Ecuador, I wouldn’t be mentioning Mexico…
Where does it say Mexico?
@Susan
I didn’t say Brad was a racist. He thinks people who are opposed to illegal immigrants crossing the border and staying in America are racists. Even Lindsey Graham gave up on that nonsense.
12 seconds into the video, it says “Chiapas.” Which is a state in Mexico.
Also, before I posted it, I read the info attached to the video on YouTube, which I quote in part: “This is an AUDIO TESTER . . . the footage is ENTIRELY from a Mexican commercial . . . it is NOT for this song or album in the least . . . it has been used to test what kind of impact the audio has . . .Thnx”
So I knew it was Mexico.
And I don’t think Lindsey says that any more, on account of people having freaked out when he did. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think it.
And… just to back up… I didn’t say anything of the kind here. I just said “Wow, what a beautiful country.” Only I made a joke about our ongoing disagreement over immigration.
And indeed, if the country all looked like that, who could leave it?
So when you wrote this “I had expected Doug to watch it and then say, What are all these Mexicans doing coming here and taking our jobs, when they have such a beautiful and idyllic country of their own?”” you assumed I knew that Chiapas was a state in Mexico?
I didn’t. And your joke about what I might say falls flat when you know I don’t care where illegals come from. I only care that they are illegal and repeat offenders of our laws for years… and that they use resources that they have no right to use. I don’t care if they are from Canada, India, Ethiopia, or Timbuktu.
So if you want to call someone else a Mexican hater, go ahead. I’m not.
I knew Chiapas is a state in Mexico. I took geography in school.
