I showed my appreciation by carrying that hat in my backpack back and forth across Thailand (where I mostly wore my “jungle” hat instead, to protect my ears and neck), just so I could be wearing it when I saw Burl in Hawaii.
I watched a little of that series again just recently. It’s excellent, but I still greatly prefer “Band of Brothers”…
He left out Robbie the Robot…who appeared in numerous 50s sci-fi forgettables…Twilight Zone (the original) and, to my knowledge, his last appearance was with Billy Mumy (later to be a key player in Babylon 5) in Lost in Space…
Props are almost always warehoused
I’ve noticed that while Burl may not comment as often as some of y’all, he sometimes posts when no one else does.
Radford High School apparently programmed us to have similar interests…
I have built a few props for film productions — and they don’t give them back when they’re done with them!
Another way to look at it is that Burl gets to do a lot of cool stuff that I WISH I got to do.
But fortunately for me, he sometimes shares the cool stuff with me.
Y’all may remember when he sent me his review DVDs of “The Pacific,” along with a great official hat.

Billy Mumy, played the cute little boy on Lost in Space, not be confused with Will Munny out of Missouri, killer of women and children…
Deserve’s got nothin’ to do with it…
