The Walk was great. I’m tired now…

Here are three of the 6,000 people who walked for breast cancer awareness this morning — Mark Stewart, Kathryn Fenner and Doug Ross.

Brad’s Bloggers. The Few. The Proud. Etc.

We had a great time. The weather couldn’t have been better. Afterward, I went to the Italian festival on Main Street, which was also awesome.

And then I took a nap. But I’m still kinda dopey.

But I wanted to be sure to thank Mark, Kathryn, Doug. And the following, who gave but were unable to walk with us:

  • David Knobeloch
  • Pat Dixon
  • Nick Nielsen
  • Buddy Johnson

Next year, we’ll do it again, and I’ll try to get an earlier start on the planning. Maybe we’ll have custom T-shirts; who knows?

But now, I’m feeling pretty good about the $932 we raised — $450 of it by Doug alone!

I do have hair, y’all–just really short hair right now.

It was a blast–it was nice to put people behind the blog comments!

    and way to go, Doug!

Thanks for the opportunity, Brad. It was a good time and you have a great family.

Another five miles and I think I would have convinced you to vote for Haley (even though I am not).

Wow! Your legs must really be sore after climbing up and down 24 flights of stairs in Columbia’s “No Name Building” and then the Walk for Life.

What is the “No Name Building” called these days? I still call it the “Affinity Building” although that company is now dead. I had a great vantage point from the 20th floor of the western skyline and Finlay Park.

Shannon Cotham has just donated, bringing the total to $982! Thanks, Shannon!

Anybody want to go to the team page and make a contribution of $18, to push us into four figures (not YOU, Doug — you’ve done more than your share)? I think they’re going to keep taking donations through next week…

I actually had a $25 check in my pocket from a donor but she made it out to the wrong name. She’s sending it in on her own but we won’t get credit.
