In case you missed it, here are a couple of shots from my office window. Just when you think nothing wonderful is going to happen to you today, God throws you a curve like this…

Thanks for posting that! I was driving around, and I don’t have (I don’t know if I’m ashamed to say it or not…) a digital camera or camera phone. It was beautiful. There are times I wish I had a camera with me. Tonight was one of them.
It was even better down our way. My wife and I were enroute to Columbia for a Christmas party. Looking toward the east, it was as the photo shows. Looking toward the west, the clouds were a golden shade that I’ve seen perhaps a half-dozen times in my life. I couldn’t stop the car, so I simply breathed a prayer, “Thank you!”
Thank you for posting the pictures. I was driving back from Hilton Head late yesterday afternoon after two grueling days of work. That sunset made the trip bearable and almost enjoyable. A talented and under-rated local artist, Scott Hoffman, Dutch Fork High School art teacher has painted an autumn sunset on our dining room walls. If we could get along politically, I’d love to show it to you – not only for the beautiful scene, but to show we have such a great artisan in Columbia.
I did notice it, and I took several pictures with my camera phone while I was driving home. I haven’t checked them out yet, but I seriously doubt they came out as well as yours. Unless, that is, bumper-to-bumper traffic on US 1 is part of your ideal image of a sunset.
It’s nice to be able to post something that folks can all agree to feel good about. I will look for more such opportunities, and God willing, I will find them.
Yep, one of my family powerpoint presentations, with a cowboy riding off into the sunset, and Michael Martin Murphey singing, “Happy Trails to You.”
Seriously, I put the slide shows together for family gatherings.

It really was something… a beautiful thing to drive into after a long and difficult day!
Brad, can we use your photos, or are they copyrighted?
Oh, please go ahead, Herb — be my guest. (I’m assuming a nonprofit use here, of course, coming from you.)
