Meanwhile, back in the world: We’re now having firefights with Pakistan

Folks who have been looking back and forth between the presidential election and the crisis on Wall Street, only to see the two merge, may be surprised to know that things have gotten hairier over on the Afghan-Pakistan border. We’ve been sending commandos and other assets after al Qaida over there (you may recall that’s where Osama bin Laden is supposed to be hiding out), and Pakistan has been getting madder and madder over it.

And now, apparently, we’re shooting at each other … although Pakistan claims it was just shooting flares at our helicopters — to start with, anyway .

I just thought I’d mention this in case there is a debate tomorrow night, and in case anybody thought there wasn’t anything important besides the economy to talk about.

The real question is should McCain suspend his campaign and go to the border and stay there until this is settled?
If he does, someone ought show him its the Pakistan/Afganistan border and not the Iraq/Pakistan border.

And somebody ought to tell Biden that FDR wasn’t president when the market crashed in ’29 and there was no TV to broadcast the speech Biden said he made on TV to bolster the confidence of the populace.
Then, too, somebody ought to tell Obama his 57-state strategy is seven states past a full load.
You can’t throw stones when you live in a glass house full of morons.

    Sure I can. Watch me.
The ecomony is fundamentally sound. Ooops. Someone wake up grandpa and give him a newspaper already.
In fact it’s so sound that McCain’s campaign is able to continue to profit from Freddie/Fannie and the the other bank interests right up to last week and the they still do today.
So is a part of the bailout the giving the bank a handout so that they can recover teh cost of the millions of dollars that they actually gave McCain campaign?
    Country before politics? Hardly.
This is campaign is McCain’s 6th aircraft and he’s about to crash & eject yet again.

No bank gave “millions” to the McCain campaign. That’s another rotten Obama lie.
But Obama campaign staff members and advisors did haul in over $200,000,000 while acting (not serving) as exectutives and board members of Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Obama’s economic advisors are about as crummy as his pro-Muslim foreign policy advisors.

Obama was running his mouth about how he would pursue Al Qaeda into Pakistan.
Now we have done it, and Obama is silent.
Obama is all bluff, especially on punishing our Islamic enemies.
