Procrastination

I think I need a whole "procrastination" category.

The trouble is, I’ve got too much material. I made a huge mistake yesterday. I went to the Galivants Ferry Stump Meeting.

I find I have more material than I have time to sit down and write even when I just hide out in my office. If I go out and do actual legwork, I get overwhelmed.

I’ve often said I wish I’d had a blog when I was in New York at the GOP convention in 2004. I could have posted 10 times a day, easily (especially since I was out of town and therefore couldn’t do my regular work as editor). I was frustrated with three columns and a 40-inch "notebook" piece at the end of the week.

The problem is, if you take time to go experience things, you don’t have time to write. If you take time to write, you don’t have time to go out and have experience.

The hell with it. I’m just going to trot out bits and pieces, and stop trying to figure out a way to organize it.
